The Last of Us takes place in an apocalyptic world, one where resources are tight and scavenging is a way of life. In the game, you'll explore the environment, foraging for materials you can use to craft new items and equipment. Half-empty bottles of liquor, discarded towels, broken razor blades, and even sugar can all be transformed into deadly tools for Joel to use on his journey.

The PlayStation 4 announcement was pretty detailed in terms of specs, philosophy, and games line-up, but some noticed it was missing a look at the actual box itself. We've been almost certain that we'd see it at E3, but Sony has now confirmed it and provided an extremely vague glimpse to boot.

LittleBigPlanet is a hard act to follow. Media Molecule has been tasked with not only creating a new game that can match the same charm of their revolutionary platformer, but also craft an experience that takes full advantage of Vita's unique capabilities. With Tearaway, it looks like they'll make good on accomplishing both these lofty challenges.
In the world of Tearaway, you are a god. And we're not talking about the character that you control in the game. You, the player, are a god that the denizens of this papercraft world look upon. In fact, you can snap a picture of yourself at the game's beginning to cement your godly position.

The Last of Us will give PS3 gamers a small taste of PS4's new accessibility features. Like many recent retail releases on PS3, the game will be available for download via PlayStation Network at launch. However, you won't have to dread having to download dozens of gigabytes at once before you can start playing.

If there's one thing I learned from my previous hands-on with The Last of Us, it's that it's not Uncharted. Approach the game like Nathan Drake, and you'll find yourself staring at a Game Over screen in no time. Rushing towards armed baddies will get you shot and killed instantly; trying to take a clicker head-on will get you bitten; trying to make giant leaps of faith will have you plummet to your doom.
But, it is a Naughty Dog game, and playing through more of the single-player adventure revealed that The Last of Us can be as much a blockbuster as it is a thriller.

Update: Now with official details, media, and comments from Sony.
A website in South Africa supposedly has gotten its hands on a early copy of a press release that officially announced Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3 for the 2013 holiday season. And lo and behold, it proved to be real. "I'd like to announce today that we are developing GT 6 for the holiday season this year on the PlayStation 3," series Kazunori Yamauchi said, according to PlayStation's official Twitter account.

As one of the earliest games announced for the system, Infamous: Second Son is going to be an early showpiece for the PlayStation 4's capabilities. But according to the team at Sucker Punch, that's a two-way street. Not only did the PlayStation 4 shape the game, but Sony's requests for input from its developers influenced the PS4 itself.
