Hotline Miami 2 trailer shows off points & blood

Hotline Miami 2 trailer shows off points & blood

Dennaton Games has dropped a new trailer for their bloody murder simulator, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, just in time for PAX East. Coming this fall to PC, PS4, and Vita, the new trailer shows off the numerous ways you can murder--and collect points, of course.

At one point, it may appear that the trailer is hinting at co-op. However, the official Hotline Miami Twitter clarifies that "the swans are brother/sister and are controlled together." It's sort of like Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons--but with a lot more murder.

Wolfenstein: The New Order trailer introduces Nazis & the Resistance

Wolfenstein: The New Order trailer introduces Nazis & the Resistance

If Wolfenstein: The New Order is meant to be campy, this new trailer does a good job of hiding it. "Nowhere to Hide" introduces players to the story of the game: an alternate history where Nazis have taken control of the world, and a resistance movement attempts to fight back.

In The New Order, players will control BJ Blazkowicz and go against General Deathshed in a new globe-trotting adventure. We thought it "standard FPS fare" when we last tried it, but at least a pre-order will guarantee a slot in the DOOM beta.

Kingdom Under Fire 2 has 'better graphics' on PS4 than PC

Kingdom Under Fire 2 has 'better graphics' on PS4 than PC

Even with the advent of new consoles, high-end PCs tend to surpass their hardware muscle. A properly optimized game will look better on PC, but that's not always the case. The long-delayed MMORPG Kingdom Under Fire 2 will look better on PlayStation 4 than PC, according to producer Sang-Yoon Lee, to the point that he believes the differences may upset PC players.

Battlefield 4 gets remote loadout presets tomorrow

With a large variety of weapons and vehicles to choose from in Battlefield 4, you may not want to waste too much worrying about your weapon loadout in the middle of a session. Thief devs 'discussed' possible changes after Dishonored's release

Thief devs 'discussed' possible changes after Dishonored's release

Although it was announced well before Arkane's game, many couldn't help but notice the similarities Thief shared with Dishonored. In a new retrospective, senior producer Stéphane Roy admits that the studio had considered making changes to their game afterwards, but decided on sticking to their guns.

"When Dishonored came out and we played it, a lot of the people on the team were worried about these similarities--some were even paranoid that we had a mole on our team," Roy explained. "We had quite a few discussions internally about this, but in the end we decided to stay true to what we wanted our Thief to be so we kept everything as-is."

MLB 14: The Show PS4 video shows off 10x polygon increase

MLB 14: The Show PS4 video shows off 10x polygon increase

MLB 14: The Show is excellent on PS3. But many baseball fans are undoubtedly waiting for the PS4 version, coming next month. It's going to look better--but by how much? A new video of the PS4 version shows us.

Game designer Ramone Russell explains that the PS4 version implements a new lighting engine. In addition, polygon count has been increased nearly tenfold. However, this is probably the most impressive stat: there are over a thousand unique character crowd models, meaning sports games no longer have to be attended exclusively by clones.
