From the moment the 3DS was announced, Paper Mario has seemed like a no-brainer for the system. Its endearing diorama art style should naturally lend itself to the system’s 3D backbone, and I find that simple RPGs are great for on-the-go entertainment. While Paper Mario: Sticker Star makes good on its promise of being a 3D showpiece, I found a few of its gimmicks more problematic than the RPG series deserves.

Did you know that in less than a month, a new Paper Mario game will be available? In fact, it will be the first Paper Mario game in over five years.
We're not entirely sure why Nintendo's marketing machine has done so little to promote the upcoming release of Paper Mario: Sticker Star for 3DS. It's a shame, really, because Sticker Star has the quality writing we've come to expect from the franchise, beautiful graphics that make terrific use of the 3D screen, and a world so charming it invites total exploration.

Paper Mario's promised 3DS adventure has been unveiled. Paper Mario: Sticker Star will be available on 3DS this holiday season. While it looks like other games in the Paper Mario franchise, Sticker Star's new "gimmick" is the ability to grab stickers from the environment and apply them in battle. For example, you can grab new weapons stickers. In the E3 presentation, we saw Mario grab a fan sticker, which turned into a giant fan that towered over the cel-shaded town.
