Among today's myriad of 3DS announcements, Nintendo sent confirmation that the new hand-held will let you keep your purchases from the DSiWare Shop. The press release mentions that users will be able to transfer downloadable software from one 3DS to another, or content purchased using a DSi system.

It's unclear right now if this would mean re-downloading your purchased content from the newly branded "Nintendo eShop" or if users could simply connect the two systems to each other locally. Read more »

The infamous Nintendo DS 'R4' emulator card and other similar devices have been declared illegal to sell in the UK by a High Court ruling, Develop reports.

The R4 device and its ilk allow unauthorised programs to run on Nintendo DS handhelds--contentiously letting owners easily play pirated software and games. They will now become illegal to import, advertise or sell anywhere in the UK. Read more »
