Cave Story 3D, the Nintendo 3DS remake of indie classic Cave Story, has received another delay. Previously due on August 8, following a month's delay, it's now expected on November 8.

"We are currently undergoing improvements to enhance gameplay," said producer Jack Niida in the delay announcement. "Changes are in the small details, but in order to satisfy both the fans and the new players we need to make sure the game is done right." Read more »

Publisher NIS America has provided a release date for Cave Story 3D, and it's a little later than we had previously heard. A batch of summer release plans from Nintendo listed the game for June 28, but now the game's pre-order page says August 8 instead. No reason was given for the change. Read more »

The much-beloved indie action-adventure game Cave Story is being remade yet again, this time as a retail release for the Nintendo 3DS, GamesRadar reports.

Cave Story 3D, as it's called, will bring the series away from sprites and into 3D to take advantage of the new handheld's main selling point.
