I wish I would have tried cold brew coffee years ago. Basically you just brew it in your french press using cold water instead of hot and instead of 2 minutes you let it steep for 12+ hrs. Some guides say use extra coffee but I guess that is for most people that don't use enough coffee to begin with. I stuck with two heaping tablespoons to every 6oz of coffee.
This is fantastic. It is notably less bitter. It definitely feels stronger. But the best part is that it isn't god damned hot coffee. I didn't even need ice since it had been sitting in my fridge overnight.
There are so many different ways to make Coffee but this is probably going to move into my main rotation. This coffee is supposed to keep all week so this big 32oz cup of coffee I have now should last me all week and that is a huge selling point. I would highly recommend giving this a try if you haven't already.

Cold brew coffee is also supposed to be less acidic. So highly acidic coffees like Kenyan coffees may be help.
But when I say help here you have to consider that cold brewing is a completely different taste profile compared to a hot brew. The heat and aroma profiles form a hot coffee alone are going to be big differences before you even get to a different extraction method. So when I say "help" I am assuming you may not like the bitterness or acidity. But if you like the bitter cocoa notes of a nice Brazilian than you may not like what happens when you cold brew those beans.
I only buy Kona coffee so that is what I brewed and I thought it did fine. The flavor was very similar just less acidic with less bite and bitterness.
