Otherwise known as the game you should be playing. For those who don't know, it's a free oldschool DM game built on the Quake 2 engine. Essentially, they combined the best parts of Quake and UT. It's come a long ways since I first played it years ago, to the point where I think it's more fun than Quake Live. The problem is that the player base is rather anemic, leading to the reason behind this post:
A few fellow shackers and I have recently begun playing it fairly regularly and we are trying to get more people to join in the action. None of us are really hardcore into DM, but it's an exciting change of pace from other games. I've so far solicited to a few people with positive results, so I imagine there are others who might enjoy playing. If we get enough, a private server may be a possibility, but right now there are plenty of servers to hijack. The existing community has been surprisingly inviting so far, and skill level is all over the board so it's not like everyone playing is godlike (though there are some solid players).
