>> Visuals: Outstanding, not only from a design standpoint but also in terms of execution and polish. Everything was super crisp and absolutely beautiful.
>> Story: Straightforward, but honestly I didn't consider that a bad thing. This film does not suffer any of the pacing issues from the original TRON, the plot is constantly moving forward, the dialog is entertaining, the movie is fun :]
>> 3D: I'm not a very big fan of the current 3D fad, but I have to say the 3D in TRON LEGACY was well done. Not too "in your face" but not overly subtle either, best of all it didn't give me a headache. There were a few scenes where I consciously noted "hey, the 3D effect is actually enhancing the experience here" (rather than just feeling like a gimmick), that's been a rare occurrence in modern 3D movies.
>> Audio: Incredible! Sound effects and mixing were superb. Daft Punk's contribution cannot be overstated. The "soundtrack"-style songs they provided were fun and funky, but also impressive was their more orchestral score. The mood was right and it always had just the right amount of Daft Punk "funk" on it (at certain points in the film the "right amount" of funk was close to zero--which they accomplished gracefully when necessary).
>> Real Jeff Bridges: Was awesome! "You're messing with my Zen thing, man!"
>> Digital Jeff Bridges: He looked "good enough not to care about it." He was not a source of distraction in any scene save one, which unfortunately happened to be the climax of the film, and honestly in most of his scenes he actually looked real--or, at least, real enough to "just go with it."
>> Olivia Wilde: Unfffff.
>> The rest of the cast: They were in this movie, and nobody was terrible. A few were actually pretty great, Michael Sheen especially! Garrett Hedlund was likeable enough as Sam, he was broody and angsty and compassionate and idealistic and hot-headed when the plot needed him to be. Boxleitner was only in a little of the film and he accomplished what he was supposed to, I think he was having fun just being in the world of TRON again, and it showed.
>> Overall: HOLY SHIT IT WAS AWESOME AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT AGAIN NEXT WEEK :]
