This is far from over. People could start putting stickers on anything you buy from CDs to cars saying you're not allowed to resell them. Besides, didn't a court rule that those huge agreements aren't binding because you need a team of layers to decipher them and no one reads them?

If it's the former then this is just a contract dispute. But if its the latter this could be significant. A lot of time companies know they don't have a legal basis to shut down, say, "NOT FOR RESALE" auctions on eBay. I've read of incidents where someone gets a copy of a piece of Microsoft software for free in some promotional event, puts it on eBay, it gets taken down via an order from Microsoft, the seller challenges the takedown, Microsoft and eBay back down, and the auction goes on like before. This ruling, however, may change that.
