Speedtest.net question.
I just upgraded to Time Warner's Signature Home package that, among other things, gives up to 50Mbps down and 5Mbps up. The tech used the TW speed test site and said speedtest.net is inaccurate with speeds over 25Mbps. I was reluctant to believe him. The TW speed test site reported speeds averaging in the 40's down and in the 4's up. After the tech left, speedtest.net reported around 10 down and around 4 up. Before I upgraded, it was showing me around 18 down.
Any truth to the inaccuracy claim? I realize the speeds will be higher since we were using TW's speed test while within their "network" but the drop from 18 before to 10 after the upgrade seems odd.
