Well alright I’m unemployed, but it’s hump day for people who matter! Halfway to the weekend and two days away from a Secret Friday Update that will delight and enrage in wholly disproportionate measure.

1) Arrival/departure area should be at least 3 tiles from floor to ceiling (maybe 4 for passenger safety). The track is 5 tiles wide, and made from smooth stone to prevent animals from spawning on it. Torches will line the middle to prevent monster spawns.
2) The track is setup to have both cargo and passenger trains. Cargo is bottom, passenger is top (for a good view around the track)! Depending on which services you want, your station either needs to be tall, or redirect the cargo track UNDER the passenger only station, or let the passenger tracks bypass the station OVER the cargo loading area.
