I say wait for the gold/game of the year edition and then consider buying it.

- sounds will stop working
- sometimes your cities will have the opponents color to them
- have had tactical battles where my side is auto skipped and can't move/attack
- holding down crtl to multi select unit for a army and moving the mouse at the same time is laggy/sticky
- by far the worst is movement, you can't really tell where you are issuing a move order, the target location is not highlighted
- turn ticks happen auto-magically, saving you the end turn button press but leading to WTF's when you have multiple armies out on the play field
- missing art for some city upgrades
- you can make units that don't have enough action points to attack! the game made archers that only had 1.5 action points and attacks cost 2.0 points. that was so super gay.
I think it comes down to a money thing, Stardock needs money now, they release and patch later. They know their true fan base will put up with this type of release because no other company is making a MoM style game. Frustrating for gamers, but it works out for Stardock.
Now the funny part, I want to play more.
