So last night I made it to (mid-game spoiler) Mexico last night. Please tell me this game doesn't lose steam in the later 1/4 like GTA4 did.
Also, anyone know where the golden guns are? I put my code in and it unlocked, but I have no idea where they are. Strange.
Has anyone managed to find the best horse? I'm willing to bet that Rockstar put one, single horse that tough to capture and is better than all the rest.

The rain dropped to a drizzle, night fell. Luckily, a few miles out from the town I came across a generous old couple with a campsite that offered me a seat. I rested with them and listened to their tale about their son who got involved with the wrong people, and they were going to try and bring him back home if they could ever find him. I told them it was a good story, best of luck, and I had to move on. A few more miles out in the wilderness I set up camp alone and slept....
I woke around 2am and figured now would be as good a time as any to make my way into town to collect my reward from the snake oil salesman, Mr. Dickens. Perhaps I could make it there by dawn. Galloping across the rolling country and hunting a bit along the way (also engaging in a fair share of botany), I saw a thin trail of smoke in the distance. As I happened upon it I noticed it was a group of cowboys resting up, and I joined them for some small talk.
Suddenly I heard a distant rumbling, like thunder, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky. On the horizon was a long, horizontal row of dust, growing in size. The rumbling got louder, and when I looked again I saw five men on horses far out of range, bolting up the horizon in a haze of horrifying dirt and mist. I knew they were coming to collect the bounty on my head. Before I could even blink or whistle for my horse they were surrounding me, rifles pointed at my chest. I darted off and saw the bounty hunters accidentally plug one of the cowboys in the leg, missing me completely. One of the other cowboys jumped on his horse and ran, but the third cowboy started shooting at the hunters, just long enough for me to paint and execute three of the five. I got a lucky headshot on the fourth, and then....lucky, lucky me.... I noticed the fifth crawling away. Without a second thought I ran up and hogtied his ass, threw him on the back of my horse and rode off in search of some train tracks.
A ways out I dropped him over the tracks and waited for the sweet, sweet sound of that rumbling whistle off in the darkness. I waited and waited, then checked the time and thought, maybe the train doesn't come until morning? But I wasn't going to miss this for anything. Sure enough, at the first dreamy hint of dawn I heard the whistle a mile away and was filled with an immediate, unsettling glee. Was I turning toward the other side? Was I reverting to my old ways?
None of that mattered anymore, no turning back now. The light of the locomotive RIPPED through the last darkness of dawn, cutting through my peripheral vision like a hot blade, and obliterating in a chunky, red mist the body that was writhing around on the tracks moments before.
So many sweet stories in this game....
