BF:BC2 + ATI (wo)menz
Newly leaked ATI BETA drivers (10.5/10.6) apparently fixes the long loading issue with ATI cards with using DX10/DX11 modes! I have not tried these myself (nvidia card here) but folks over at [H], guru3d and rage3d reports of fixed load times. You may want to try these but note that these are beta drivers, so wait for official driver release if you do not know what you're doing!
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

*Mixed reports on load time fix. Seems to fix 5xxx in DX11 and not for 4xxx DX10 (odd).

the other think is that BC2 isn't a spike. it's constant load of 90%. it never goes down. I don't get it. it was like this in the beta for lots of folks as well.
plus, it's the executable of the game itself going that high. I don't see anything else competing for a resource spike.
I mean it COULD be some link to some media sharing stuff, but on my gaming rig, I'm not hosting any active media shares or any stream to x360/PS3 programs or anything. and mainly it's that ANY other game does not produce such an immediately heavy and sustained CPU load directly attributed to the game executable in task manager.
