Blizzard shoots for particular dates to try and release things, but they pretty much wait until they're good and ready to actually release it. They did this with the first WoW expansion pack, delayed it at the last minute by about 3 months because it needed extra work. Fans went nuts on the internet bitching about Blizzard "teasing" them and being assholes and all kinds of nonsense. In the end, however, they delivered a solid product that proved to be a successful addition to the franchise.
Yes, I understand your point about business strategies and stockholder interests and all that, but you're seeming to tell me that you think those things are the only considerations that Blizzard uses for the release of its products, and quite frankly, that's bullshit.
You're free to speculate all you want about the level of D3's completion, but honestly if you want to think that it's mostly done and they're just letting it sit on a shelf to clear time for WoW to sell, then I'd rate you as nothing more than a conspiracy theorist in the vein of 9/11 truthers or people who think we never went to the moon - because you'd be drawing a drastic conclusion based on personal bias and tepid evidence.
Look, you're allowed to be upset that D3 is going to take a while to get here, you're allowed to hate WoW. It's fine that you do. What's not fine is the bizarre and mostly unsubstantiated claims you're making about the situation. Be upset, but don't drum up a lot of nonsensical bullshit to try and bolster your anger to a position of legitimacy that, quite frankly, isn't necessary. If you'd have just said "damn, I'm really pissed that D3 won't be out next year because I really want to play it", then all would have been well and good, understand?
