1) Here's my comment presented very matter of fact even though I don't really know what going on. I think I do however because I read gaming sites and play games.
2) Here's my comment presented in a way that shows it's based on limited knowledge. This is a good comment because we share opinions here and I'm sharing mine but hey. I could be wrong.
3) I know what I'm talking about because I'm informed from being involved, or I know someone who is. These comments are usually rare because often times those who speak don't know, and those who know don't speak. NDA's and all that. Sometimes Devs chat about their games and that's totally cool.
The video game industry is huge. Millions of dollars are being moved and some companies have shareholders, some are under various contracts, some devs don't want other devs to know what they're doing, or maybe a large PR firm is planning to release info strategically (it's their job). Confidentiality is key obviously, and their are teams of people involved at every well planned step.
So before you make a knee jerk comment about WHY game X is delayed, or Dev X isn't going to be at Y event, or publisher X is doing whatever to a game or dev, try to keep in mind that you have no idea what is going on because you're on the outside looking in.
Sorry. I read a coupla comments on front page stories and had to vent.
TLDR Most folks commenting on the gaming industry don't know WTF
