The concern is that since Remedy is not making Max Payne 3 (and presumably has little or no involvement), how can this be a "real" or "good" Max Payne game? No one who hasn't seen the game can make any educated guesses as to whether it is good, but let's come up with examples where a game not originating from the original dev house HAS been good.
- Sunstorm's Duke it Out in DC
- Sunstorm's Cryptic Passage for Blood
- I never played either of those 3rd party F.E.A.R. add-ons, any good?
- Your example here please

The FEAR add-ons (Extraction Point, Perseus Mandate) were developed by TimeGate; I played Extraction Point and thought it was a mediocre cookie cutter title. I'm hoping that they were just using those two to get some revenue to fund Section 8's development and make it a decent game that can stand up on its own merit.
