Windows 7's XP Mode is really crippled in terms of performance. However, the "Fusion" like integration is pretty damn nice. I want that, but I want real performance.

The metric I'm using is a FileMaker DB program called Maximeyes. When it draws a schedule on our Hyper-V based VMs w/ 768mb it is flawless (single core VM, Xeon X3363 @ 2.83ghz).
On a Q6600 given 1.5g of memory, it chokes. BAD. It takes 4-5 seconds to draw the screen. It is awful.
