You are all cordially invited to the Finals of the second Shacknews TF2 Tournament!
Tonight in a battle for the ages, witness the mighty forces of coc vs the unrelenting NDI!
As you probably dont recall, these teams met during the round-robin matches, with coc taking the win over NDI, 2 maps to 1. Can we expect some revenge from Jackhammer/flammingimp's finely tuned machine of marauders? Or will the strategy and execution of ]pm[chem's relentless wrecking crew prove too much?
Its the final countdown! 2 Teams enter - 1 Team Leaves!

NDI Won Granary, and we tied on Well
That put NDI at 1 win and COC at 0 wins
The confusion was this:
Some people thought that the finals were best 2 out of 3, so that would mean we would have to play the third map which was dustbowl, and whoever won that map would win the match
We (NDI) played all of our playoff matches where the 3rd map was only played if we were tied, in this case, we had 1 win and they have 0 wins (second map was tied) so there was no need to play DB because there was no overall tie.
If we had played DB and NDI lost, then the score would be tied, which would mean we had to play a 4th map, and hirez said that cp_well with whoever gets the first point was always the universal tiebreaker map. That's the first I heard of that though, it was always our understanding that the 3rd map was the tiebreaker.
How did the other teams interpret the playoff rules?
