- 1/4 cup red sweet vermouth
- 1 tbsp dry mustard (or you can use 1 1/2 tbsp of dijon mustard)
- 1/2 a yellow onion, diced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
In the cast iron skillet you used to grill the steak in, throw in the butter and onions and sautee until onions are light golden brown, making sure to scrape off all the goodies off the bottom of the skillet. Now blend in the vermouth and mustard and bring it to a boil. Add the cream, stirring constantly as it boils until it reaches a thick and golden color.
Pour over the steak and garnish with fresh chopped thyme. Yum!
