I played on a server today that made Sudden Death fun. Everyone spawned the same class (randomly) and had to use their basic weapons (fists, bat, axe ect). It was more interesting and fun than the standard affair.

Sudden Death is Valve's problem. I'm sure they'll fix it someday. I think the easy solution is to just have Sudden Death kick in. No respawning and starting the map over. Just kick it in and teams and classes are locked. If you have guys that are dead at the time, tough shit. Maybe add opportunities to have your teammates respawn. For instance, get a defense point = 1 player respawns (no changing of classes) or something to this effect. A capture = 2 respawns or something, I don't know. But this is Valve's problem. I'm also of the opinion that non-default servers should not count towards statistics at all. Stats are great and overall pretty meaningless, but if you're going to implement it it should be fair and just.
