Looking around in the .cfg files for the demo, I found some variables that scale depending on which difficulty you play on.
Normal
-- AI Detection speed
ai_SOMSpeedRelaxed = 0.8
ai_SOMSpeedCombat = 0.2
-- Low health effect duration and health threshold
ai_RODLowHealthMercyTime = 2.5
g_playerLowHealthThreshold = 40
Veteran (technically called BAUER, which is lols :D)
-- AI Detection speed
ai_SOMSpeedRelaxed = 0.05
ai_SOMSpeedCombat = 0.01
-- Low health effect duration and health threshold
ai_RODLowHealthMercyTime = 1.5
g_playerLowHealthThreshold = 40
These are just a few of them though. Some of the regeneration rates of your health and armor are changed, the distance at which the enemy can see you, etc. There are some pretty interesting things in there that don't change with the difficulty, but remain editable. Like the Speed Mode speed multiplier which I just so happened to quadruple so that I can run about 10x faster than one of their trucks, and I made the energy drain for it less than negligible. :D I can't wait for the full SDK for this game.
