Im using my 42'' LCD Tv as a monitor right now, its a Philips 1080p so I should be pretty nice. Obviously just want to make it a HTPC where I can do some gaming with you all finally.

- Get a P35 board.
- Do NOT get an Ultra or I will fucking stab you in the face. You're paying huge extra moneys for MAYBE 5% improved performance. I'd recommend a factory overclocked 640MB GTS. eVGA and XFX make nice models. If you must go higher, stop at the GTX.
- If you want dual core, go with the 6x50s. They can run at a faster FSB and actually cost less than the older E6x00s. Also I'm of the opinion that quad-core isn't worth it right now but it's hard to turn it down at current prices.
- I have no idea what kind of quality G.SKILL RAM makes, I tend to stick with Corsair/OCZ/Kingston.
- Dump the Freezer 7, get a Thermalright Ultima-90 ( http://anandtech.com/casecoolingpsus/showdoc.aspx?i=3068 ) with a better fan like a Scythe or Noctua.
