Basically, the Tomahawk missile works with several thousand very high speed adder/subtractor circuits running in parallel, with several thousand adder/subtractor circuits cross checking them for any errors. Memory is a handful of latch circuits. This kind of simple-math-only computer is the only thing fast enough, and it's simple enough to cram into a missile.
