I really don't think it's possible to directly control a social network in the kind of "evil empire" way you are imagining, at least not sustainably. Censorship and algorithmic prodding will only get you so far, especially in a society that has alternatives. I'm curious to see how relevant TikTok even is 5 years from now, or if the teens have moved on to something else.
