The Next Inhalation
The fifth and final season of Star Trek: Discovery has reached the halfway point. Who’s watching? Who’s waiting? Who’s not caring? I'm watching and it's certainly not the worst Star Trek I've ever seen.

In TNG The Battle, they mention the Picard maneuver. Picard is about to pull it on them! Why do I mention this? Because, even at that point – even with subspace sensors they supposedly have – they don’t have a counter for the Picard maneuver!
Instead they assign Data the task of figuring out a counter for it. Data who had subspace sensors in Face of the Enemy! Instead, he looks for evidence of gaseous compression! Which is evidently not detectable by subspace instruments. Very confusing.
