Contents of Battlefield 1's $80 'Early Enlister Edition' revealed

New-school goes old-school when Battlefield 1 storms onto consoles and EA's Origin digital platform for PC this fall. The Standard Edition of the game will run you $59.99, but there's an Early Enlist Edition for $79.99 that includes all sorts of extra goodies, and you can already preorder it on Xbox Live, PSN, and Origin.

Here's what your $80 will get you:

•         Early access to the game on October 18, three days ahead of the official October 21 launch date.
•         Three themed item packs: Hellfighter, Red Baron, and Arabia—each containing themed items, weapons, and vehicles.
•         Five Battlepacks enclosing an assortment of items.

Divulging the contents of Battlefield 1's Early Enlister Edition is but one part of EA's media blitzkrieg unleashed today during a press event. The company also revealed how to get early access to the beta, due out later this year, and listed game features such as squad-based combat and player classes.
