Fat Princess Adventures has a new update that should satisfy the masochists out there, as well as a higher level cap and some new content for Arena Mode.

Fat Princess Adventures hit PlayStation 4 users out of nowhere back in December during PlayStation Experience weekend, but developer Fun Bits wasn't about to stop with the launch version. The top-down hack-and-slasher is getting a free update today that adds a little more icing on the cake.

The full details can be found over on PlayStation.Blog. The game's level cap has been increased to 30 to help parties get through to the end, as well as help those looking to tackle something a little more challenging. With that said, the masochists out there can find a new difficulty called "This Means War!" which amps things up beyond Cakemare, with even the most minor of enemies providing a brutal challenge. A new Arena Mode map has also been included, with players fighting for survival in the Salt Mountains.

In addition to this free content, players also have the option to pick up some cosmetics, as well as Gem Packs. Fat Princess Adventures is available now on PS4 as a downloadable title. For more, check out the video below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
