Guitar Hero Live GHTV additions for 1/20: Fall Out Boy live performance

While Guitar Hero LIve's GHTV mode offers up playable music videos, this week's additions are a reminder that it can capably capture live concert footage, too.

Guitar Hero Live's GHTV is usually good for catching some vintage music videos and playing along with them. But for this week, Activision and FreestyleGames are going into some live concert footage. Los Angeles rock station KROQ holds an annual holiday concert called Almost Acoustic Christmas, featuring some of the biggest names of modern rock. Guitar Hero Live put together a Premium Show from Fall Out Boy's performance, not only putting together a three-pack of songs from the band, but also giving players a glimpse of what it was like to be at the show that night.

The tracks from that Premium Show (and a second, more video-focused show) include:

Fall Out Boy Live from KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2015

  • Fall Out Boy - Irresistible (Live)
  • Fall Out Boy - Centuries (Live)
  • Fall Out Boy - Uma Thurman (Live)

Pop Power!

  • 5 Seconds of Summer - She Looks so Perfect
  • Sheppard - Geronimo
  • Sky Ferreira - You're Not the One

Let's issue that weekly reminder. Premium Shows can be purchased for in-game currency and will unlock these tracks for the on-demand catalog. On-demand tracks can also played for in-game currency and will be made available on that catalog next week week. These songs will then make their way into the regular GHTV live streaming rotation in two weeks.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
