Double Fine Productions has announced Psychonauts has become completely funded with just a few days left to go within its campaign.

Psychonauts 2 reached its $3.3M goal yesterday, and with just four days left in the campaign, Double Fine will finish it off to help raise as much funding as possible. As of this writing, Psychonauts 2’s goal is just shy of hitting $3.4M, which we’re sure it will raise a little more than that given how many days are left.

Double Fine Productions founder Tim Schafer published a video announcing Psychonauts 2 has been fully funded, as well as thanking those who helped it reach its $3.3M goal.

Psychonauts 2 was officially unveiled during the Game Awards 2015 to everyone’s surprise. In under just 24 hours, the sequel received 1/3 of its complete funding as it was able to raise $1.1M. It appears it didn’t keep that momentum going considering it took a little over a month to achieve the remainder of its funding, but nevertheless, today’s news should excite fans of the original title.
