Origin's On the House promotion has Jade Empire available for free, which is considered to be yet another BioWare masterpiece.

EA has made Jade Empire available for free as part of Origin’s On the House promotion.

Jade Empire: Special Edition offers an epic story based in a world inspired by Chinese myths and legends. Players will need to master the greatest fighting styles to defeat the most powerful enemies, which will then earn them a place as a master of martial arts in world of Jade Empire. The game has a variety of characters that will help enrich their adventure by providing comic relief, rivalries, flirtations, and hostility.

The game was developed by BioWare and was originally released in April 11, 2005.

As is the case for all of Origin’s On the House promotion, you don’t need to be a member or anything like that. All you need to do is have Origin installed on your PC and you can add Jade Empire to your library instantly. And with winter coming soon, Jade Empire looks to be a great addition to our Origin backlog.

Wish this game had some cool mods and stuff :( I loved a lot about it back in the day but it's a little hard to play these days.

Was this game their first big RPG after KOTOR? Or first big one after getting bought out? I remember there was some special hype on this along the lines of "this game is the future of BioWare" ... and then it sort of flopped, right?

Fun game! One thing this game pointed out to me: Bioware sure does like arena contest missions.
