Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is settling into its world of role reversal, where the zombies are the world's rulers and the plants are the invaders. We've previously gotten to know the six new classes for EA and Popcap's multiplayer shooter sequel, so in that sense, a new video doesn't seem all that necessary. However, it does reveal some previously-unseen maps.

The latest dev diary issued earlier today explores a new stage called Boney Island, taking the plants and zombies back in time to the prehistoric age. The map is filled with stone structures and caves, as well as cliffs for those looking to take the high ground. There's also Zen Peak, an Asia-themed stage filled with Eastern architecture.

Get a look at the new maps and get to know the six classes all over again by watching the video below. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is set to hit PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in Spring 2016.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
