Alleria Windrunner emerges once more in Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

It's been a long absence for Alleria Windrunner, but now she's back as an alternate Hearthstone hero.

The next of Hearthstone's new Heroes has been revealed. One week after Blizzard first unveiled Magni Bronzebeard for the Warrior slot, Alleria Windrunner will be making her Hearthstone debut.

Alleria is the older sister of the undead Sylvanas Windrunner. A female high elf, she's actually been largely absent from Blizzard lore for a good, long while. In fact, she hasn't appeared in World of Warcraft at all in the game's ten-year history, with her last appearance coming in Warcraft II.

Alleria will slide into the Hunter spot. No word on when she or Magni will be available, but they'll each run for $9.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
