Chatty Twitch Highlights 56: Disco madness

Yes, the weekly Shack Convoy run through Euro Truck Simulator 2 happened on Friday night. But afterwords, Chatty go down with some Disco Dodgeball!

2

With another Friday in the books, Chatty got together for another round of Euro Truck Simulator 2. That footage is here, as would be expected. But something just as magical may have kicked off after the drive was over. After the the driving was done, the time came to dance! It was time to get a look at Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball, an indie sports game that may have fallen under a whole lot of radars. Let's get a look, along with the rest of this week's offerings.

Warning: Some clips may contain NSFW language.

Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball

What on earth is this game? One of the wonders of the Chatty community is that they'll occasionally pop up with a game that's never crossed paths with any of the Shacknews staff and this is certainly one of them. Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball (known mainly as the shorter Disco Dodgeball) is a multiplayer sports game played from a first-person perspective. Since it's dodgeball, it's all one-hit kills all the time as players float around on jetpacks and try to nail each other with flying balls. It's utter insanity within the confines of a disco club and Hemtroll has it all on his Twitch channel.

Euro Truck Simulator 2

Before picking up a handful of disco balls, it was time for the Shack Convoy hit the road again. This week, the destination is Poland. And of course, along the way, everyone shares stories and drunken anecdotes while trying not to accidentally run each other off the road. Well… assuming they all make it to the same place, of course. Watch the stream on Hemtroll's Twitch channel to see if anyone got lost.

Cities: Skylines

Without a doubt, Cities: Skylines has been the game of choice for the Chatty community over the last couple of weeks. Various members of the Shacknews staff have started picking the game up, including our own man with the briefcase, who took his city to the Shacknews Twitch channel. Check out this clip, where Chatty's own askedrelic has a request for our Briefcase Man.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
