Developer NeoCoreGames, the developer behind the two Incredible Adventure of Van Helsing games, has issued a release date for its first tower defense game. Deathtrap was first unveiled in October and went into Steam Early Access later that month. It is now set to exit Steam Early Access on February 4.

Deathtrap sets players in a cross between tower defense and an action-RPG. In addition to dispatching over 40 enemy types in gruesome fashion and setting killer traps, players can also create their own custom maps and monsters. To offer up an idea of how this mechanic works, NeoCoreGames has uploaded a new video, which can be seen below.

Those looking to jump into Deathtrap right now can pick it up on Steam Early Access. It is also set to arrive on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
