Alien: Isolation gets 'Trauma' add-on today

Alien: Isolation is getting its second round of DLC today, with players now able to undergo serious 'Trauma.'

2

Just in case Alien: Isolation hasn't had enough people hiding under their tables or sleeping with their nightlights on, there's a second add-on pack making its way to the game today. A little over a month after Corporate Lockdown debuted, Sega and The Creative Assembly are coming back with the ominously-named Trauma.

Trauma adds another playable character, Sevastopol's medical officer, Dr. Lingard. Players will take her across three new Survivor Mode maps: Reoperation, Crawl Space, and Overrun. The idea is to find her research on the Xenomorph creature and destroy it before it falls into the wrong hands. As always, the Alien is on the hunt, while Lingard must also worry about the Working Joe androids that are going haywire.

Trauma is included with the Alien: Isolation Season Pass, but it is also available a la carte for $7.99 on all of the game's platforms. Those looking for an extended look at what Trauma will contain can check out the developer's 'Let's Play' below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
