The Evolve 'Big Alpha' has come and gone, allowing 2K and Turtle Rock to gather additional data that should help contribute to the game's development. Turtle Rock is now sharing some of the information with the Evolve fanbase.

While many of the facts on the Big Alpha infographic are fairly mundane, there are some notable stats to be found. Namely, the Hunter teams have beaten out the Monster by a margin of 753,414 to 574,079. Turtle Rock will seek to balance this number, but the road to doing so remains to be seen. It should be noted that the Assault role was the most widely-chosen among teams at 22.9 percent, followed by the Medic at 19.5 percent. The longest session recorded was at 40 minutes, though Turtle Rock did not indicate the average length of each round.

Check out more of the Evolve infographic here. Evolve is still in line to release in February 2015.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I expected as much the maps are to small with only 2 ways for the monster to go making it easy to catch him stage 1 for the easy kill.

The maps need to be bigger or have the food mobs moved around at random as there all pooled in to like 4-6 spots on the map making it easy to wait for the monster to come eat to go up a stage.

The average length of each round was shorter than the time it takes to actually get into each round.

I probably should have given this more of a chance, but I tried monster once and got chased across the map getting shot, then I tried to eat an animal and got netted and killed. If these guys aren't careful they'll have made the next Splinter Cell Chaos Theory where the multiplayer is a bloodbath unless both sides put tons of hours into getting good at it.

I'm thinking instead of buffing or nerfing the hunter/monster, that maybe instead make the flora & fauna play a more significant roll. As is hunters make a straight line for the monster with nothing slowing them down except for the occasional hunter that lands in deep water.

Also makes me wonder how the game would play out if they ditched the jet packs.
