A release date has been issued for acclaimed author Neil Gaiman's first entry into the gaming world. Wayward Manor is set to arrive on PC and Mac on July 15, following a short delay.

Wayward Manor is a puzzle/adventure game that puts players in the 1920s, as they control a ghost looking to explore an abandoned haunted mansion. Of course, the mansion gets a little less haunted when an annoying family of suburbanites moves in, which means the ghost will have to help give them the boot.

Developer The Odd Gentlemen made the announcement earlier today on their Tumblr page. Wayward Manor is expected to release on both Steam and the Humble Store. It will also release in the future on iOS and Android.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
