The 20th anniversary edition of Another World was originally supposed to arrive today on Sony platforms. However, it appears that the game has been stealth delayed to a future date. Meanwhile, the Xbox One version of the PC classic was suddenly been released earlier today.

Major Nelson issued the good news earlier today. The game is available on the Xbox store for $7.99, bringing with it a full restoration of the original game with new HD graphics. The game was also released last week on Wii U and 3DS.

As for the Sony version, its whereabouts are a mystery. The Digital Lounge did, in fact, release a launch trailer for this version on their YouTube page, but in Europe only. No word on where the North American version is, but Shacknews has reached out to Sony to find out.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
