Microsoft joins with Spielberg for live action Halo TV series
by John Keefer, May 21, 2013 10:50am PDTMicrosoft has announced a live-action Halo TV series in conjunction with film great Steven Spielberg that will air exclusively on Xbox Live. Spielberg will work with developer 343 Industries on the series.
"The Halo universe is an amazing opportunity to be at that intersection where technology and myth-making meet to produce something truly groundbreaking," Spielberg said in a pre-recorded video at the Xbox One reveal event.
It was mentioned as a "premium television series," so it is possible it will not be free as Forward Unto Dawn was.
No other details were revealed on when the show would air or how far into pre-production the show is. Polygon was able to confirm that Spielberg will be the executive producer on the series.
