Call of Juarez Gunslinger trailer slings gameplay footage
by Steve Watts, Mar 14, 2013 12:30pm PDTUbisoft showed off a trailer for Call of Juarez Gunslinger last week, but it was mostly environments and folksy charm without any slinging of guns in sight. A new trailer released today still features the gravel-voiced narrator, but is less about the towns themselves and more about painting them red.
In it, we see the titular gunslinger shoot down crooks, spin his gun into its holster like he's in Wild Bill's show, and even blow on the smoking end after dispatching a crook. It's a medley of Old West tropes set to rock music and a first-person perspective, and our first look at the game in action.
It also takes some time to highlight the criminals that are weaved into the story, like John Wesley Hardin, Billy the Kid, and Jesse James. That indicates it will carry only the loosest sense of historical accuracy, but some vague myth-building is probably preferable to the ethical and public relations minefield of setting a game in an ongoing, real-life drug war.

A new trailer for Call of Juarez Gunslinger shows the game in action, and that action consists mostly of bloody messes at the end of your revolver.
