Customize a castle in Dragon Age 3: Inquisition
by John Keefer, Oct 22, 2012 6:00am PDTA panel at the Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo over the weekend brought out some new details on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, including such things as the scale of the game, character customization and making your castle feel like home.
Producer Cameron Lee went on a Twitter binge during the game revealing numerous details that panelists executive producer Mark Darrah, creative director Mike Laidlaw, lead writer David Gaider and cinematic designer John Perry were telling expo attendees. Among the tidbits:
- Perry said pre-production for DA3 is taking longer than any previous BioWare game, with one level being larger as all the other DA2 levels combined.
- Laidlaw said the customization of characters will follow the Dragon Age Origins format. He also said that player may be able to take control of castles.
- Gaider said players will be human and player backgrounds will have a significant story impact.
BioWare released the concept art shown at the expo on its blog. The game will use the Frostbite 2 engine and is expected to be released late next year.
