We're already had a good look at the snowy wastes of Assassin's Creed III, and now a new commentated gameplay walkthrough introduces us to one of its cities. Boston and New York are recreated in 1:3 scale in ACIII, creative director Alex Hutchinson explains in the six-minute walkthrough showing off the former.

Hutchinson shows off new tricks with followers, new ways to move around and lose pursuers, better-integrated side-quests, and, of course, new ways to brutally murder men.

Assassin's Creed III is coming to PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Vita on October 30, Ubisoft says, though likely yet unconfirmed reports say it's delayed on PC. It'll hit Wii U too. An Assassin's Creed movie is also in the works, with Michael Fassbender set to star.

Why do they continue with this "blending in" mechanic, as if anyone could avoid notice wearing that outfit.

Agreed. Compared to, say, Hitman: Absolution, where the character actually uses disguises, this is just embarrassing.

Because bald guys with barcodes on their heads that no one has ever met are so inconspicuous.

No the bald guy with a barcode on his head clearly fits in. He's wearing a waiters outfit!

I'm still sad you dont get to play as Magua. Just you, a tomahawk, and a couple of leaves over your junk.

Why? The people who think it looks neat will disagree (and you won't persuade them otherwise), and the people who agree with you don't need you to threadshit.

A waste of a post would not read again 2/10.

Admission: never played an AC game. That said, I'm bewildered by the way passersby completely ignore all the dead bodies the assassin leaves behind. Has that always been the case in past games?

I haven't seen footage of a recent open world game in a while, and this is looking pretty impressive. Things flow so smoothly.

They should have called this Assassin's Creed: New World so we could call it AssWorld.
