Diablo 3 updates with large 1.0.3 patch

Diablo 3 patch 1.0.3 has launched, packing a slew of class balance changes, monster damage adjustments, and a large crafting cost reduction.

11

A large-scale patch for Diablo III has hit today, offering loads of class balance changes, the addition of an item level to gear, and some damage adjustments for monsters in Act II-IV in Inferno difficulty, among many others. It also fixes a laundry list bugs and reduces the rewards given for replaying quests. Sorry, grinders.

The full patch notes are pretty lengthy, so you may be best off finding your class of choice to see if they've been buffed or nerfed. Adjustments to Acts 2-4 in Inferno difficulty should assuage some concerns about the difficulty spike. Crafting costs for items levels 1-59 have been reduced 50-75 percent across the board, but repair costs are up between level 53-60. The notes also give a very detailed breakdown of how level 61-63 gear drops, if you're a stat junkie.

Blizzard is bringing in new patches at a fairly regular pace, having launched 1.0.2 just two weeks ago. Be sure to check out our latest Diablo III diary for thoughts and frustrations on the new Auction House.

Anyone have any leads on adding procs/buffs to legendaries? Didn't see it in the notes, but they were talking it up for awhile.

" reduces the rewards given for replaying quests." Wow, that really sucks, forcing people to the RMAH are we Blizzard? Seriously, not grinding for gear in a diablo game?! WTF?

You're about as smart as a bowling ball here, Saldrin. By 'reduces the rewards given for replaying quests' means gold and experience rewards. You aren't awarded gear for completing quests.

And what do we use to buy gear in the commodity AH? Wait for it... wait for it.... GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nobody gets gold by repeating quests unless they're using one of the exploitable ones. you're talking out of your ass so stop posting

You realize that less gold entering the system means there is less gold in circulation to spend on the AH, which puts downward pressure on prices, don't you?

No, they are forcing people to play the game and build up NV rather than repeat a quest over and over.

the game is even MORE of a clusterfuck now. I had 70k in repair bills within 30 mins of A2 inferno. And of course, the monk changes have everyone pissed off.

"Magic Find will no longer be considered when looting objects in the environment such as chests, barrels, vases, pots, and corpses"
WHAT THE FUCK!?! No need to keep swappable magic find gear ready in my inventory anymore, then.

I'm glad they fixed this. If there's one thing I hated, it was getting rewarded for interacting with the level.

I noticed a massive reduction of playability. Something with the graphics changed and now the game is continuously loading assets in battles and caching while moving.. pre 1.0.3 smooth as glass. Post 1.0.3 a stuttering mess. What did they change?
