Grim Dawn devs hit final funding goal to make game

Grim Dawn has been a labor of love for Crate Entertainment, a group of ex-Iron Lore developers who love the action-RPG genre. In development for two years, the game's funding started to dry up, so the team took their plight to the Kickstarter community in an attempt to complete the project.

Obviously, the fans liked what they saw because Crate hit their $280,000 funding goal with more than 11 days left in the campaign. Shackers have donated close to $1,200 to the game, according to an interesting donation breakdown from the devs.

Expect an update in the next day or so from the team explaining what their next goal funding will be, since a nice chunk of extra cash can come in before the funding ends on May 18. More funds will probably mean more content, but maybe now the game can finally hit alpha.
