New Super Mario Bros 2 coming to 3DS in August
by Andrew Yoon, Apr 21, 2012 4:00am PDTNintendo has unveiled the identity of its secret 2D Mario game for 3DS. It's New Super Mario Bros 2. (Although it's technically the third game in the New Super Mario Bros franchise...) Once again, Tanooki suits are all the rage, as seen in the first screenshot for the upcoming sequel. It's unclear if the game will support multiplayer as in New Super Mario Bros Wii, but given the portable's smaller screen real estate, it seems unlikely.
Surprisingly, the game will be out less than one year after the release of Super Mario 3D Land. Expect it in August. With New Super Mario Bros 2 outed, one has to wonder--what is Super Mario 4?
