Orcs Must Die! 2 announced, packing co-op
by Alice O'Connor, Apr 02, 2012 10:30am PDTRobot Entertainment's Orcs Must Die! was a charming action-RPG take on the tower defense, hitting PC and Xbox Live Arcade last year, and now the indie has announced a sequel. Imaginatively named Orcs Must Die! 2, it'll bring a second playable character and a new co-op mode exclusively to PC this summer.
The sequel's new campaign can be played solo or co-op, as either the cocky War Mage or the new Sorceress. According to Robot, this former member of the Order "keeps enemies at bay with mind-control and magic."
Exploring new It'll also bring new monsters, new traps and defenses, new magical trinkets, and other gubbins. Robot has "completely redesigned" the upgrade system too, and it now always rewards the 'skull' upgrade points when you replay levels.
Orcs Must Die! 2 is getting a downloadable release on PC this summer, with bonus exclusive content for those who own the original on PC. Check out the official site for more.
