Kid Icarus: Uprising plastic stand included in US version as well

Yesterday, we reported that Japanese copies of Kid Icarus: Uprising would include a free plastic stand to hold your 3DS. By no longer requiring players to hold the system while playing, the plastic stand should appease critics that claimed the game was "not particularly comfortable" to play.

Nintendo of America has confirmed that the plastic stand will be included with US copies of the game as well. In a statement to Shacknews, a company representative confirmed: "Nintendo is including a free stand with all copies of the Kid Icarus: Uprising game for the Nintendo 3DS system."

"The stand holds the Nintendo 3DS at an angle above any flat surface and provides players with a comfortable option for playing," the statement continues. "The game's control scheme was designed to fit the game's unique blend of flight, shooting and melee combat, and offers tremendous precision. Our product testing demonstrated that players found the stand to be comfortable and enjoyable."

Kid Icarus: Uprising will be available on Nintendo 3DS on March 23rd. The game is also compatible with Nintendo's odd Circle Pad Pro accessory.
