Over 1,600 Modern Warfare 3 bans delivered
by Xav de Matos, Nov 19, 2011 2:15am PSTOnline communities are made up of multiple parts, some of which should be dissected from existence. According to a tweet from Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist Robert Bowling, the developer is attempting to rid the Modern Warfare 3 community of its worse element: cheaters.
The tweet reveals that over 1,600 users have been banned from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for utilizing glitches, hacks, and other unnamed cheats.
"Any attempt to cheat, hack, or glitch in [Modern Warfare 3] will not be tolerated," Bowling wrote. "1600+ bans issued. Updates in works. Please cont. to report offenders."
Based on sales figures, 1,600+ users barely scratches the surface for the amount of players partaking in the franchise's online modes. Of course, if you ever find yourself in a room with a cheater, it will probably destroy your desire to ever play the game again.
