CD Projekt Red is working on a lot of Witcher. The developer recently revealed the upcoming Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2 will include "extra story content as well as the 2.0 enhancements, Dark Mode, Arena, new tutorial and new four minute opening cinematic."

These enhancements will also be carried back into the PC version as well, "around the same time" as the console game's release.

Speaking to Eurogamer, story designer Jan Bartkowicz teased eight more "bullet point" enhancements, to be revealed later. The majority of these extras are likely to be story-related.

"We are going to have some additional events that are going to happen in the game," he said, adding "[The] Majority of this is some stuff that will make the story bigger, show some back story, show some additional events - and now you can understand some things that were still open at the beginning of Witcher 2, but are right now closed." Some story-related closure is promised, and Bartkowicz asserts that the additions will be "bigger than all the DLCs we've released so far."

Once the Xbox 360 version ships, it seems the developer will be working on at least one more Witcher project. The developer promised that "we still have at least one big title ahead of us in The Witcher franchise."

"I don't know if it's going to be The Witcher 3 or something else that covers the story, but there's probably going to be some releases in the future."

The Witcher 2 is already out on PC. The aforementioned 2.0 patch will be available on September 29. The Xbox 360 version will be available in 2012, and a PS3 version (while not in the works) is in consideration.

I've already played the game twice.

When 2.0 comes out I'll play it again.

And when the new DLC comes out it'll worth playing again again!

Is there such a thing as too much content too fast?

        Never!!!

I will be starting my second play through on dark mode this Thursday.

I wouldn't be surprised if I did a third down the road with more content.

An enhancement I'd welcome in 2.0, that was in the first Witcher, would be the ability to once again simply point and click on an item I wanted to pick up with my mouse.
